About me

Hi, my name is Charlotte, and I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist based in North Wales. I am also a trained Mindfulness teacher and Senior Lecturer at CPHT Liverpool, Hypnotherapy Training School.

My background:

I have been a teacher for 25 years and a counsellor with the NSPCC for 7 years. I am passionate about helping others to fulfil their potential and this has defined my role as both a teacher and counsellor. As a teacher, I teach across all age ranges, from Primary through to Secondary and I am also a Teacher-Trainer.

I am committed to helping people take control of their lives, enabling them to make the changes that they wish to make and to find their inner ‘spark’.

I first became interested in Hypnotherapy when my daughter overcame her spider phobia through hypnotherapy and when, a few years later, I saw a hypnotherapist for insomnia. I found it incredible that this gentle therapy could have such powerful, life changing results and I began to read everything I could get my hands on. The more I read, the more interested I became.

I trained with The Clifton Practice (CPHT), a recognised Centre of Excellence for hypnotherapy in the UK, and hold the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD), which is considered to be the Gold Standard in Hypnotherapy Training. I also hold the Practitioner Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Diploma in Medical Hypnotherapy.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy combines Hypnotherapy with elements of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Together these approaches are able to bring about fast, long term results in a way that Hypnotherapy or counselling alone sometimes doesn’t achieve. I have seen the significant, positive changes that have been made by my clients.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is based on up to date neuroscientific research and the focus is always upon the positive rather than the negative. The added benefit of trance, which can be likened to ‘day dreaming’, means that the sessions are relaxing and enjoyable.

I attend regular CPD courses to ensure that my skills and knowledge remain up to date with current Psychological and Neuroscientific research.

My qualifications:

  • BA (Hons) degree
