I have been a teacher for the past 24 years and a counsellor with the NSPCC for 7 years. As a teacher, I teach across all age ranges, from Primary through to Secondary and I am also a Teacher-Trainer.
Throughout my time working with children and teenagers, I have had the immense privilege of being allowed to share and learn from young people themselves. I have gained some understanding of the challenges and pressures that they encounter in today’s world.
Being a teenager or young person can be incredibly challenging. The added pressures of social media, non stop news coverage, pressures from school and day to day modern family life can lead to anxiety, negative thoughts and low self esteem.
I see children and young people with a wide range of issues including bullying, phobias, confidence issues, low self-esteem, bad habits, exam stress, anxiety and depression and sleep problems.
Hypnotherapy is a safe, simple therapy which helps people of all ages get back on top of things. I help clients understand, change and cope with the way they deal with the daily challenges of modern life.
Hypnotherapy is a combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. The Psychotherapy in itself is extremely beneficial and its effects are enhanced by the application of Hypnosis, which enables the subconscious mind to make beneficial changes.
